GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island man was arrested after police say he was stalking a 30-year-old woman and violated an active protection order on Thursday, May 9.

According to Grand Island Police Department, a 30-year-old woman reported that she was contacted by Marshal Lade, whom she has an active protection order against.

Officers found the protection order was valid and that Lade had attempted to contact her by phone. The woman also stated that Lade had followed her in his vehicle, which was witnessed by a probation officer.

Officers contacted Lade, who denied the incident, according to GIPD. A review of his phone found he had attempted to contact the woman.

Per the GIPD, Lade was found to have a prior protection order violation from April 2024 and has multiple arrests stemming from the order, showing a pattern of conduct over a short period of time.

Lade would be arrested for stalking and protection order violation – second offense. He would be booked into the Hall County Department of Corrections.
